The CQC states that all dental professionals in a practice will need to obtain an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check. We’re a DBS umbrella company, which means that we are qualified to complete DBS checks for individuals, groups and entire practices. If you are a partner or registered manager you may however need to have your DBS check countersigned by the CQC. You can find more information about this on the CQC website.
How the process works
One of our managers will come to visit your practice at a time convenient to you. The reason for the visit is to finalise the relevant documents ready to be sent off. Once all the required documents have been finalised, the completed form will be sent off, once it’s been reviewed, you will then receive your DBS certificate in the post.
We’re competent with carrying out DBS checks for the whole of your clinical team or individual staff members.

An individual DBS check costs £70 and multiple checks on the one visit can be completed at a discounted rate of £65 (minimum of 3 staff).
