Deeside Dental Surgery – Connah’s Quay
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Dental Nurse to join our supportive team on a maternity cover basis. The role is for 4–5 days per week, starting in April, with the possibility of continuing in the practice after the maternity period, subject to circumstances.

About our practice
Deeside Dental Surgery is a family-run, fully private dental practice located approximately 5 miles from Chester city centre, with excellent transport links nearby. We provide general dentistry alongside a wide range of cosmetic treatments, including composite bonding and Invisalign. We also hold a very small NHS contract for children only.

Duties
- Assisting the dentist during procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing, cleaning, and sterilising dental instruments and equipment
- Taking dental X-rays as directed
- Providing chairside assistance, including suction and instrument transfer
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Updating medical histories
- Booking appointments and taking patient payments
- Managing stock levels and ordering dental supplies
- Adhering to infection control and cross-infection protocols
Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with valid GDC registration
- Caring, enthusiastic, and patient-focused approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to learning and professional development
- Knowledge of dental sterilisation procedures and dental X-rays
