As we approach the end of what has been one of the most challenging years to date, we thought we would have a look back on the year that has been 2020.
Our 2020 timeline

| 11th March | The World Health Organisation officially declares world-wide pandemic. Cavity got fit test trained, stocked in the correct masks and fit tested ALL dental staff across the country. We provided our clients with information about our preparedness in the event of mass staff shortages due to sickness OR furlough. |
| 20th March | Routine dental treatment stopped. Dental staff officially announced as key workers. Cavity’s Easter bingo announced! |
| 23rd March | Head Office as we knew it closed. Dental staff equipped and available for emergency appointments. |
| 27th March | We released the TikTok challenge to staff. Easter bingo went underway. We compiled a list of FREE CPD to keep everyone scrubbed up on their knowledge whilst in lockdown. |
| 30th March | We reached out to NHS Trusts and Hospitals to see if they needed our help. |
| 31st March | NHS 111 for triage appointments. |
| 3rd April | GDPs start triage. |
| 8th April | We released a patient engagement blog for Dental Practices. We put together an inspiration list for your stay-at-home Easter break. “I Get Knocked Down” Cavity remix & video released. |
| 13th April | We kicked off the Weekly Challenges – from bake offs, to make-up offs- this was such a laugh and so much fun. |
| 15th April | Opening of first two UDCs. |
| 17th April | The Cavity Scrubs Home Video- You sent in your “Dental Practice scenes from home“. We shared Claire’s Health & Wellbeing resources around anxiety and isolation with you. |
| 21st April | 8 other UDCs open. |
| 24th April | 15 more UDCs open. |
| 28th April | We released Offers on our contact-free services for our clients. |
| 30th April | We reached out to Urgent Dental Care Hubs across the country to see if they could use our help. 30 more UDCs open. |
| 5th May | Cavity Head Office became Covid secure – social distancing implemented, furniture rearranged and LOTS of sanitiser and cleaning products readily available. We teased our Clients with a note about new services coming soon: Locum Dentists, Locum Hygienists and Fit Testing. |
| 6th May | We began our mission to recruit Dentists and Hygienists. |
| 22nd May | Claire launched useful resources around Mental Health Awareness Week and we released a blog with it. |
| 4th June | We officially launched the Hygienists and Dentist service. We extended our offers on contact free services. Practices across the country begin to reopen. |
| 24th June | Fit Testing service underway. Cavity started selling masks to Dental Care Professionals. |
| 15th July | Fit test kits became available to hire from Cavity. |
| 20th July | Locum Dental Nurse, Jaky started making head scarves, scrub bags and masks for DCP’s. |
| 30th July | We put together a care guide for your masks. |
| 10th September | Launched Random Acts of Kindness challenge to encourage everybody to practice kindness. |
| 9th October | Scrubs Day! You wore your scrubs loud and proud. Claire shares important resources leading up to National Work-Life week. |
| 16th October | We promoted our Pumpkin Carving Competition! |
| 30th October | We shared ways that you could enjoy Halloween the covid-19 safe way. |
| 31st October | The VAT exemption on PPE ended. |
| 10th November | Lockdown 2.0. Dental practices remain open. |

And here we are, its now December and Christmas is just round the corner. Like every year, like throughout the pandemic, Cavity is operating Business As Usual.
